Starting a Seeker-Sensitive Service () What the Bible Really Says about Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage () The Fundamentalist Phenomenon (1st edition , 2nd edition ) with Ed Hindson and Jerry Falwell; The End: Why Jesus Could Return by A.D. () The Year Of Living Like Jesus ().   Died: Robert Schuller, Forerunner of the Seeker-Sensitive Movement The legacy of the audacious and optimistic TV preacher has much to teach Author: Tim Stafford.

The evangelical church is at a crucial point in its history. There are many voices crying out for a dramatic change in the way evangelicals have traditionally viewed Catholicism; these voices are taking the church in a radically different direction, one that fits in with Bible prophecy. Q&A – Seeker Sensitive "Are you seeker sensitive?" If by seeker sensitive you mean "do you have watered down worship", then the answer is "No". And if you mean, "Do we preach gimmicky messages that are devoid of God's Word?" Then, once again, my answer is No.

My complaint is with a philosophy that relegates God and His Word to a subordinate role in the church. I believe it is unbiblical to elevate entertainment over biblical preaching and worship in the church service. And I stand in opposition to those who believe salesmanship can bring people into the kingdom more effectively than a sovereign God.   In a seeker-sensitive church the congregation pays the salary of the minister, but they work for him and have to implement his vision. Jesus said that Christian leadership values and non-Christian leadership values are different, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them.
